Wheatland Fire Authority is looking to apply for the grant and would like to know when the next grant cycle opens up. We are a small combination (Volunteer/Paid) department that serves a community of 7,500 in Yuba County, 45 miles north of Sacramento. Our community is primary a bedroom community and we heavily depend on grants to fund equipment replacement or upgrades. The Big Sur Fire is a volunteer department tasked with covering some 55 miles of the Big Sur coastal region of Highway 1. They provide wildland and structure fire mitigation, as well as performing cliff rescue and medical first response. A 501c3 not for profit, donations are essential to maintain these vital services for the residents and community of the region, and the millions of visitors who annually travel to Big Sur. Please add them to your list of departments.

The Strawberry Fire Protrection District would be interested in getting on your mailing list if you have one. We are a small rural volunteer fire department located in the central Sierra Nevada. Our revenue from property taxes is minimal and we rely on fundraising, donations and grant monies to offset expenses for operation and to pay a small stipend to our volunteers. We are very interested to get information on the grants you may have available. Thank you for all of your generosity to the many rural fire districts you have assisted throughout the State.
